Check out this most gorgeous fabric I found. It was an uncut piece of vintage 100% Italian cotton. I was so excited. It is just the most divine piece I have ever seen. The colours are so so vibrant and radiant. I just knew it had to be a party dress for some bright and bubbly little personality. So here you have it. A party dress fit for royalty. I am so jealous that there wasn't enough fabric for an adult sized dress. You can check out more detailed pictures and description at my ETSY STORE. 100% TWIRLABILITY !!!!

Well I thought I'd better show off some more of my most recent designs. They are all currently for sale at my etsy store, pinna4piper.
The first is a gorgeous little kaftan style top that I have made using a beautifully kept vintage linen tea cloth. It has turn out so well.
Then there is a couple of pairs of shorts using fabric from two of my favourite designers, Pamela Walker ( the hippo shorts ) and Amy Butler.
Pamela Walker had this range of fabric out in the 1970's and Sprout Design have very wisely recreated her designs.
Hope you enjoy !!

My girlfriend gave me a bag of fabric once and in it I found the most delightful piece of vintage curtain. As soon as I saw it I knew it was destined to be a dress after serving it's time as a childs bedroom curtain. It wasn't ready for the dump just yet. So here is the pinny I made with it and it is definetely one of my favourites. My neice wore it everywhere and now her little sister wears it everywhere. I wish it had of fit me because I know I would wear it everywhere too!!!!

I was very proud of the outcome and the bride was so happy with the dresses as were the flowergirls. The photos don't do the dressses much justice but you will be able to get the jist. ENJOY!!

The Macquarie Matrons bienniel fundraising ball is coming up on the 19th of September 2009 at the Namoi Cotton Gin, Gin Gin.
Founded in 1998, The Macquarie Matrons committee consists of a group of likeminded rural women who raise large sums of money at a bienniel ball through an auction for charities that are relevent to their committee and their communities. Pinna 4 Piper has supported the Matrons for their last 2 events and this year will be no exception.
The chosen charities for 2009 are Angel Flight Australia and The Macquarie Regional Support Fund.
So the outfit you see pictured along with the sailor outfit seen in blog #LITTLE SAILOR BOY will be included in the goods and services donated to be auctioned on the night of the ball.
For more details and to purchase tickets go to www.macquariematrons.com.au

These are my favourite creations to work on. To start with I have sooooooo much fun searching for pieces of elegance and gorgeousness and after getting the courage to take to them with a pair of scissors seeing the finished product is sooo rewarding.
A piece of history some special little cherub will get to wear and twirl in. To see more detailed pics and description check out my etsy store, the link is on the top left hand side of this page.
YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANOTHER DRESS THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I picked up this gorgeous vintage tablecloth from a second hand store, took it home and napisanned it, left it for a while and then finally got inspired to recreate it into this angelic dress. The photos don't do it any justice but my gorgeous auburn red, ringlet curly headed niece who resembles a cupid in those old fashioned photos certainly does do it the perfect justice.

I made these shorts out of a vintage cotton curtain I found in one of my delightful treasure hunts. Thats one of my favourite things to do, hunting for fabulous pieces of vintage fabrics. This outfit reminds me of a little sailor bib and brace set my little boy wore when he was only a few months old ( he is now almost as tall as me and his voice is starting to crack , how time flies when you're having fun ).
Anyhow if you would like to check out more detailed pics and information about this cute little outfit, check it out at my etsy store, the link is on the top left hand side of this page.
have a fantastic weekend.

oh soooooooo cute.
I found a cot bumper in a secondhand store made out of this fab fabric(perfect condition, as new ). So I bought it, took it home and began unpicking, pulling it apart to find a couple of panels of these hungry hippos that I could use.
The fabric print is the same as a 1970's design by Pamela Walker so I am not sure if it is hers or not but It is exactly the same just different colouring than the one I have seen.
Anyhow it has made a great little outfit for a little prince out there.

Well we are having some beautiful days where I live. Quite reminiscent of the beginning of spring, my favourite time of year.
This gorgeous fabric reminds me of spring as well.
With it I have made these cute little overalls using, and I am quite proud of saying, my own drafted pattern.
I combined 2 of my normal patterns somehow to come up with this pattern.
To see more detailed pics and description go to my etsy store, pinna4piper.etsy.com, to check them out.
Very proud indeed!!
Hope you had a nice relaxing weekend.
