WELCOME TO PINNA 4 PIPER- A DELIGHTFULLY VINTAGE UPCYCLED ADVENTURE
Hi everyone, welcome to PINNA 4 PIPER's blog.
Here you will find posts on all my childrens clothing designs, past and present, that are handmade by yours truly for my label PINNA 4 PIPER! I like to consider PINNA 4 PIPER as an exclusive and eco- friendly label as the majority of items are made from a beautiful eclectic mix of vintage fabrics such as tablecloths, doilies and curtains or from second hand ( of the best quality ) garments that I have reworked. I love the treasure hunt and gather my inspiration from the fabrics I have found and the desire to bring them back into circulation once again.
I do use new fabrics as well but only in extremely limited quantities and only from the best fabric designers! There is no mass production involved and my collections contain one of a kind designs. The production from scratch all takes place in my families home around my very supportive husband and kiddies overlooking the ocean and surrounded by mother natures best landscapes and wildlife.
The bottom line is when you buy a PINNA 4 PIPER item you know you are adding to your childs' wardrobe a unique garment of clothing that is made with the best quality craftsmanship which is born from a passion of what I do and this garment will most definetely become a favourite for your little cherub.
These are my favourite creations to work on. To start with I have sooooooo much fun searching for pieces of elegance and gorgeousness and after getting the courage to take to them with a pair of scissors seeing the finished product is sooo rewarding.
A piece of history some special little cherub will get to wear and twirl in. To see more detailed pics and description check out my etsy store, the link is on the top left hand side of this page.
YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANOTHER DRESS THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I picked up this gorgeous vintage tablecloth from a second hand store, took it home and napisanned it, left it for a while and then finally got inspired to recreate it into this angelic dress. The photos don't do it any justice but my gorgeous auburn red, ringlet curly headed niece who resembles a cupid in those old fashioned photos certainly does do it the perfect justice.
I made these shorts out of a vintage cotton curtain I found in one of my delightful treasure hunts. Thats one of my favourite things to do, hunting for fabulous pieces of vintage fabrics. This outfit reminds me of a little sailor bib and brace set my little boy wore when he was only a few months old ( he is now almost as tall as me and his voice is starting to crack , how time flies when you're having fun ).
Anyhow if you would like to check out more detailed pics and information about this cute little outfit, check it out at my etsy store, the link is on the top left hand side of this page.
I love this floral fabric. I had the smallest bit left and managed to make this gorgeous little dress top with it. It looks great with the candy pink gingham. more detailed pics and description on my etsy store pinna4piper.etsy.com.
I found a cot bumper in a secondhand store made out of this fab fabric(perfect condition, as new ). So I bought it, took it home and began unpicking, pulling it apart to find a couple of panels of these hungry hippos that I could use.
The fabric print is the same as a 1970's design by Pamela Walker so I am not sure if it is hers or not but It is exactly the same just different colouring than the one I have seen.
Anyhow it has made a great little outfit for a little prince out there.
